German author H.U. Steger wrote the strange “Reise Nach Tripiti” (in Afrikaans, “Die Reis Na Tripiti”; English: “The Journey to Tripiti”) about the long journey of a group of abandoned toys. The illustrations never ceased to fascinate me.
